Close friends since the 1970s in Cambridge, they became not only practitioners but advocates of mindfulness practice, moving in their unique, synergistic ways to spread their understanding to growing audiences that today form a main stream movement. This story has never been told.
Goleman and Davidson will also present fi ndings from their new book Altered Traits: Science Reveals How Meditation Changes Your Mind, Brain, and Body to separate hype from fact. Moderated by David Gelles, the New York Times maven of mindfulness, the event is sure to be an evening of lively dialogue.
