Defend DREAMers and DACA This Week! ACLU Action Alert, Marches, and More. Primary tabs

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced today that the Trump administration will end DACA, the Obama-era executive order that allows the nearly 1 million children of undocumented immigrants to remain at home in the United States. The administration has granted a 6 month delay, however, giving those “DREAMers” time to apply for short-term extensions, and giving Congress time to act in their permanent defense. So, demand that they do:

The ACLU–who Ethical NYC is proud to have helped co-found–has created a handy action alert for you to easily contact your Representatives and Senators and demand they pass the Dream Act of 2017 as soon as possible. Take 60 seconds and fill it out!

In the meantime, NYC is hitting the streets. Gothamist has compiled a handy list of actions taking place today and across the week, beginning with a demonstration today from 11am-7pm outside Trump Tower (725 5th Ave.). We’ll see you there!
