Please join us for a Socratic discussion on "Can evolution explain ethics?"

This meetup is based on a recent conversation with my friend and colleague Dan Kaufman on what, exactly, science can tell us about morality, meaning not the trivially misguided notion that somehow ethics can be reduced to neuroscience, or evolutionary biology, or whatever, but rather the more nuanced question of whether and how science can inform philosophizing about ethics (more here).

Please note that the meeting is free for members of the Ethical Society, $5 for non-members (at the door). If you are a member, please do not RVSP here, you can come anyway.
