The bike trip was back in June to Wave Hill Gardens in the Bronx, and the October hiking jaunt was to Mt. Taurus and ended with a stop for soft drinks, beer, etc. at a café in Cold Spring.

Today our members celebrate with justice loving people across the country.
The New York Society for Ethical Culture raised the funds to hire Groundwork Hudson Valley and its crew to join them in Hurricane Sandy recovery. Leader Collier coordinated with the National Park Service for a beach restoration project at Fire Island National Seashore. After several collections were taken during Platform, the funds were raised for two vans, crew leaders, and lunch.
In addition to being a pastor and ethicist, I'm also married and the mother of a son and daughter in their late 20's. Why reveal this? Because of the thousands of words I have read about the tragedy that has unfolded in Steubenville, Ohio, few mentioned the families involved.
